few words about the trip in Calabria ... On September 1, despite the rain, we had the honor of playing a diamond in the chili festival, on the Calabrian coast. Here we met a griot of the best in Italy, Sourakhata Djoubate, and his group Anyewa Mandeng, from Guinea. Massimo Laguardia played with them and his talented musicians (Anvil Mario, Antonio Vasta, Antonio Putz), in a wild jam session during which we have danced as wildly along with its outstanding Fanta, Guinean singer and dancer. The Sept. 2 instead we moved to Belmont, and after a deserved swim in the sea, we were guests of the beautiful former convent 'The Capuchins' (www.icappuccini.info), where we played, danced, sang, laughed, and finally eaten (and quite well). The place is beautiful and well worth a visit. For those who go there, send a greeting to delicious Paola from us ...
